The Best Deal

For LL in the UK

Your absence from tweeting hasn't gone unnoticed of course. I guess I could read all sorts of things into that, but at present I'm awaiting a wee report from two people in your home city that I have maintained contact with.

I could speculate that you have broken up with your man or that you have Covid, or that you have passed on. In the latter case, I don't expect any activity!

However, on the assumption that you are still with us, I will continue.

As you may have observed, I have managed to travel outside the States in nearly two years. Hawaii is overseas I guess but that doesn't count in my book. Here I am in Italy and have spent the last week with my gorgeous Chiara in Milan. At the time of writing this, I have moved onto Bergamo to see and stay with some Italian friends. My next stop will be Venice where I have a home of my own.

From there, at some point, I will travel south to Bologna and Florence. I have a little business in Rome and then I will relax in Sorrento and around before traveling to London, before returning home to New Hampshire. All of that will put some miles on my jet to add to those crossing the Atlantic.

There have been many women in my life since you LL and you were the only one to destroy my trust. Puts you at the bottom of a six hundred plus list in that respect, doesn't it. Back when we were together and before your deceit, I thought we were pretty good together. I guess after thirty three of marriage I was a bit out of practice with women other than my wife. Thank goodness I didn't let your deceit destroy my faith in women.

I think of you as a catalyst now. Someone who triggered me into looking at alternatives to you, giving me the idea to take up photography again and all that brought with it and leaving me free to travel the world. I always had a plan LL. Initially, you were to be part of it sharing life with me, but short-sightedness and your impulsive nature took precedence.

Looking back now, I'm glad you did what you did behind my back. It meant I wasn't beholden to you and was free to pursue a different life to the one I envisaged with you ... and yours. Here I am sixteen years later and there you are sixteen years later. Who had the best deal do you think? It was your choice, but the wrong choice.

I have a few more blogs for you to catch up on. You can get to them though the link on my Twitter page, in the header or click here:
